It's often hard to use local escorts in many countries if you don't speak the local language. For example, in Japan it was basically impossible to arrange anything online. I guess part of the reason is the risk of misunderstandings in English, and another is the fear of not knowing how to properly interact or behave with the escort according to local customs.

Like a couple of service providers have pointed out in this thread, the most important thing when picking a customer based on their e-mail/message is my estimate if I will feel safe communicating and having sex with that person. I’m happy to meet people of all ethnicities but they must speak one of the languages I speak (Finnish, Swedish or English). Other than that the same rules apply for my clients: present yourself, tell me what you want, accept the prices and my conditions, suggest a time for the date and show up when the time is due.

What about when you meet in person? Can you carry a conversation in English or Finnish? If you can, using Google translate is fine, but if you can't, then what you're doing is fraud. You are purposefully misleading the service provider.

For me it is absolutely mandatory to be able to speak and understand complete sentences in English or Finnish during the meeting otherwise I'm not comfortable and I can't enjoy what I'm doing if I don't feel safe. Language barrier is a safety risk and I'm not willing to take it.

Luckily Finnish is such a difficult language that google translate makes obvious mistakes and if I see those I won't answer because I know I'm being misled.

Once I get a reply, I ask the service provider if it's okay that I only speak English. If she says it's fine, then I’m good with it. Usually, most people speak at least a little English, and if they’re willing to meet me, that works for me.

I don’t mind if the service provider speaks broken English during the meeting. The reason I’m writing in Finnish is to make sure my message is clear—since Finnish is their native language, they might understand it better. Once we both understand what I’m looking for, and she’s okay with the fact that I only speak English and still wants to meet, then there shouldn’t be any problem.

If it‘s simply a matter of agreeing on prices and services, automated translation or AI can of course help. But if the sex worker needs to know whether they can trust you to be a serious person, that’s surely harder to do when they cannot even see your own words.

But good to hear it sometimes works. To echo FortySexN2, trying to find, let alone meet, local sex workers as a foreigner has often been quite frustrating for me too.

None of finnish providers sadly. Well, some are too pricey and some are not my type.

What would you consider too pricey? Most Finnish girls are between 250-300e/h, some amateurs around 200.
